Thousands of Pakistanis have been brought back from the Middle East. Officials said on Friday that many people had lost jobs and were living in cash after a lockdown due to a corono virus infection. Corona virus positive has been found in hundreds of those brought back.
Pakistan has brought about 20000 of its citizens so far. They include a large number of unskilled laborers who were working only in the Gulf countries. Their jobs were lost due to the shutdown due to economic activities.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah told in a press conference that out of 2069 Pakistanis who returned from the Middle East in Sindh's southern province, 500 corono virus positives have been found.
A senior government official in the northwestern province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa told AFP that more than 200 of the 1600 passengers who came to the city of Peshawar were found positive.
