Coronavirus cases in India are not taking the name of freezing.  Despite the ongoing lockdown in the country (COVID-19 Lockdown), the figure of infected has crossed 59 thousand.  The number of corona infections in India has been 59,662.  In the last 24 hours, 3320 cases of corona have been registered, while 95 patients have died.  So far, a total of 17,847 people have been cured.  However, in terms of recovery rate, the recovery rate is 29.91 percent in the last 24 hours.  So far 1,981 people have died due to coronavirus in the country.

Talking about the recovery rate of the last 7 days corona, it was 26.59 percent on 3 May.  27.45 on 4 May, 28.17 on 5 May, 28.71 on 6 May, 28.83 on 7 May, 29.35 on 8 May and 29.91 per cent on 9 May.

 At present, mortality from corona in India is 3.3% and recovery rate is 28.83%.  Also, 4.8 percent of the patients are in ICU.  1.1 percent of the patients in the country are on ventilators and 3.3 percent are on oxygen support.  According to the report released by the government, the testing capacity in the country is 95,000 daily.  Currently, corona is being tested in 327 government and 118 private labs.

 On March 24, PM Narendra Modi announced a 21-day lockdown in the country due to the rescue from Corona.  After which, on April 14, the PM once again addressed the people of the country and informed them about the extension of the lockdown for 19 days.  This period was to end on 3 May, but before that the Ministry of Home Affairs extended the lockdown for two weeks.  Now it will remain in force till May 17, although in the districts (Orange and Green Zone) which do not have Corona cases, the government has relaxed it a bit.
