Indian captain Virat Kohli denied any reports of any differences in the team before leaving for the T20 series with the West Indies. But now former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar says that even if Kohli and Rohit climb on the roof and shout and say that there is no rift between the team and the players, this story will not end and it will continue.
Gavaskar wrote in his column on Sports Star, 'If Virat and Rohit want to stand on the roof and shout at them, then this story will not end here. Whenever Rohit is out cheaply, there will be some people who will say if he is intentionally out ..?
He said, 'Whoever is spreading such things is not a well wisher of Indian cricket, it happens many times that a troubled player of the team gives vent to such rumors. His jealousy causes damage to the entire team. Then some administrators also do politics in such news.
Gavaskar also gave his views on the role of media in this matter. The former captain said, 'For the media, such reports are like heaven. When cricket goes on, such stories become silent and in other days such news starts coming again.
He also said, 'Virat and Rohit are both professional cricketers. Both will get on the field and play to win Team India. But such stories are not going to stop even after 20 years.
