Moitrish Majumdar, Kolkata:
Former Indian captain Anil Kumble has said that there can be a conflict of interest in everyone's life. Kumble's statement came after the case in which the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Lokpal DK Jain issued a notice to the Indian Under-19 and India-A team head coach Rahul Dravid in a conflict of interest case.
Kumble told reporters, 'I think there are conflicts of interest with every professional. How you face them, how you get involved in it is very important. When people come to know how you are involved in any profession, then I do not think that there is any conflict of interest.
The former Indian leg-spinner also said, 'It is unfortunate that every cricketer has to go through matters like conflict of interest. There are very few cricketers who have played for India. Therefore, only they contribute to this game. If you will involve them in such matters too, then I think someone else has to be seen for the contribution of cricket.
