BCCI officials are surprised and have questioned Manohar's move as Manohar was the chairman of BCCI during the T20 World Cup.
A senior BCCI official told IANS that when T20 World Cup was played in India in 2016, Manohar was the chairman of BCCI and he knows very well how tax policy works in India and now it is very bad It is said that the ICC chairman has taken a different stand on the issue towards the Indian board.
The official said, "Shashank knows this much better than the rest of the ICC people because he was the President of the BCCI during the 2016 T20 World Cup played in India hosted." He said, 'You cannot ignore the fact that when the BCCI was taking a large part of the revenue from the ICC, there were many types of agreements.
The official said, "They had made some changes in the revenue model, but they had no effect on India. If Australia can be told that it can find only the best methods for tax exemption then what is the need to give tax exemption to BCCI completely.
