West Bengal: Mamta Banerjee on Martyrs 'Day, attacks on BJP asking to replace EVMs' with traditional Ballot

Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee, began her speech in Kolkata on Sunday, on the pretext of the Martyr's day expressing her grief on the poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections.

Trinamool Congress leader and Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamta Banerjee, began her speech in Kolkata on Sunday, on the pretext of the Martyr's day expressing her grief on the poor performance in the Lok Sabha elections.

In her entire speech, Mamata Banerjee attacked the BJP on the pretext of EVMs, Hindu-Muslims division and her love for Bengal.  Mamta Banerjee also called BJP a 'party of dacoits'.

Mamta Banerjee said, "The Lok Sabha elections of 2019 is not history but mystery.  With the use of EVM and CRPF , he won (BJP) election just with the same amount of seat he said. It is not a history but mystery. They got only 18 seats and with that they are capturing our party offices and beating our people.  I request the Election Commission to take charge of the ballot papers during the coming Panchayat and municipal elections. "

Demand for government funding of elections
Mamta said that for the sake of saving democracy and the use of black money during elections, election reforms are necessary in the country.  TMC chief also demanded government funding for elections.  They said, 'Do not forget that EVMs were used in England, France, Germany and America first.  But now they have stopped using it ... so why can not we bring back the ballot? ''

Mamta Banerjee said that since 1995, I have been demanding the election reforms.  If we want to stop the use of black money in elections, save democracy and want to maintain transparency in political parties, elections will have to be reformed.  Official funding of elections is important because political parties use black money during elections.
