Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi died at the age of 74. He was in a coma at the hospital for several days. Amit Jogi, son of Ajit Jogi, himself tweeted and informed about the father's demise. He tweeted, '20-year-old youth of the state of Chhattisgarh, his father's shadow arose today. Not only me but Chhattisgarh has lost his father, not a leader. Honorable Ajit Jogi left his family of 2.5 crore people and went to God. The resort of the village-poor, the cherry of Chhattisgarh, went far away from us.
According to the medical bulletin issued by the hospital, his health deteriorated further around 1:30 pm on Friday. He again suffered a cardiac arrest. The doctors tried for 2 hours but could not succeed in saving their lives.
Dr. Sunil Khemka, managing director of Sri Narayana Hospital in Raipur, told here on Friday that 74-year-old Jogi breathed his last at 3.30 pm this afternoon. Khemka said that former Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (J) chief Ajit Jogi was admitted to the hospital on May 9 after his health deteriorated. Since then, his condition was critical. He said that he suffered a heart attack at around one and a half hours later this afternoon and his health continued to worsen.
According to members of the Jogi family, Ajit Jogi was walking in the wheelchair in the garden on May 9 and at the same time he suddenly fainted, after which he was admitted to the hospital. After being admitted, his condition continued to deteriorate. Jogi's family consists of his wife Renu Jogi, MLA from Kota and son Amit Jogi.
