Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has also landed in the war with the Corona epidemic. The 70-year veteran Gavaskar has donated 59 lakh rupees to fight the deadly corona virus. The current Indian team's Test expert Cheteshwar Pujara has also participated in this fight.

Sunil Gavaskar has given Rs 35 lakhs in PM Relief Fund (PM-Cares Funds), while CMO Maharashtra has given Rs 24 lakhs. Commentator and analyst Gavaskar himself did not disclose this contribution, but after a tweet by former Mumbai captain Amol Majumdar, his close source confirmed the donation.

Cheteshwar Pujara thanked all the front-line warriors, including doctors, para medical staff and police, who are selflessly serving in this difficult situation. He wrote, 'My family and I have contributed to PM CARES Fund and Gujarat CM Relief Fund and hope you do too.'
