Hockey India on Saturday announced a further contribution of Rs 75 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund (PM-CARES Fund) in the fight against the corona virus epidemic. With this, Hockey India has helped one crore rupees so far. Earlier, the Hockey India Executive Board contributed Rs 25 lakh to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.

Hockey India President Mohammad Mushtaq Ahmed said in a statement, "We need to stand with the government in view of the current crisis. The government is doing everything it can to fight the Kovid-19 epidemic. To fight it during this difficult time, one needs to unite and discharge his duties as a responsible citizen.

He said, 'Hockey has always been loved and supported by the people of the country and we want to do whatever we can on our behalf to see our countrymen as winners on this epidemic.'

Hockey India Secretary General Rajinder Singh said that Hockey India has always stepped up for some good work and in this difficult time when the world is facing the Kovid-19 epidemic, we want to support ourselves in fighting this crisis.

Hockey India CEO Elena Norman said, 'Hockey India has been created by the people of the nation and in this era of crisis we should do something for the country. We hope that our contribution of one crore rupees will help the needy people.
