A senior government doctor and a 34-year-old man who had gone to battle to prevent the spread of corona virus, died in a hospital here on Sunday after being infected. Hospital sources gave this information.
The 60-year-old doctor serving as assistant director of health services (equipment and stores) was initially admitted to the Beliaghata Infectious Diseases Hospital and was later referred to the 'Salt Lake' private hospital on 18 April, where his corona virus Died due to infection. Sources told PTI-language, "He was taken to Beliaghata Infectious Disease Hospital after being infected with Kovid-19 and was later taken to Salt Lake Private Hospital.
Physicians were suffering from respiratory problems and other diseases. He was on ventilator since he was hospitalized. He died on Sunday. "Another infected person living in the 'Garden Reach' area of the city died at around 7 am in the same hospital. "The 34-year-old man was admitted to the hospital on April 23," he said. She too had breathing problems and was placed on a ventilator.

However, an official said on condition of keeping his name confidential that the cause of death is still being investigated. According to the state health department, so far 154 cases of Kovid-19 infection have been reported in West Bengal, out of which 18 people have died.
The state government has constituted a committee to find out whether the patient died due to corona virus or some other disease already present. According to the Union Health Ministry, there are 571 patients of Covid-19 in the state.
