The number of such cases has risen to 649 in the last few days due to the registration of 54 new cases of infected with the Corona virus from other countries in China, while the death toll has increased to 3,295 with the death of three more people on Friday. China's National Health Commission said on Saturday that no local cases of Kovid-19 were revealed on Friday, but the number of such cases has increased to 649 after 54 of those returning from abroad were found infected. A total of three people died and 29 new suspected cases were reported on the Chinese territory on Friday.
All the deaths took place in Hubei province, the capital of Kovid-19 and its capital Wuhan, which are now being slowly opened after being locked down from 23 January. The National Health Commission said that till Friday the number of infected cases in China reached 81,394. These include 3,295 people who died of this infectious disease, 3,128 patients and 74,971 people who were discharged from hospital after recovering. The commission said that 184 people are suspected to have been infected with the virus.
As of Friday, 518 cases, including four deaths in Hong Kong, 34 cases in Macau and 267 cases including two deaths were reported in Taiwan. Corona virus cases first started coming from Wuhan in December and gradually it engulfed the whole world.
According to Johns Hopkins University data, 27,333 people have died due to the disease in 170 countries. Italy had the highest number of deaths at 9,134. In the US, the number of infections is about 15,000 from the second country Italy and more than 20,000 from China.
