US President Donald Trump is reaching India in a few hours. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will welcome him in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Motera Stadium is ready for this. Apart from the Trump-Modi friendship, the two countries are going to do five such deals on this tour, which will redefine India-US relations. These include domestic security, intellectual property law, reactor agreement under civil nuclear deal, defense deal and limited trade deal. Limited Trade Deal because Donald Trump has already said that the scope of the Comprehensive Agreement is less in this visit before coming to India.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ravish Kumar said recently that the issue of mutual relations in the Asia-Pacific region and H-1B visas will also arise. The Donald Trump administration has tightened visa regulations. After this, America's dream of Indian youth is not easy. The US President, accompanied by his wife Melania Trump, is also bringing a heavy delegation. Trump will fly from Ahmedabad to Agra in a 36-hour tour. Will come to Delhi from where bilateral issues will be discussed.
Strategic issues are expected to dominate. Especially after the US-Taliban pact and China's help to Pakistan, PM Modi will put India's side firmly. At the same time, Donald Trump will ask the Indian PM to reduce import duty on American goods. However, the defense deal is an area under which Trump will be forced to understand the Indian position on other issues. Trump knows that India is a big buyer of weapons and Russia can take the lead in this matter. Trump was restless, especially after the S-400 missile agreement with Russia. However, later, there was an air defense deal with the US.
The Modi government has approved the purchase of 24 MH-60 Romeo helicopters and six AH-64E APACHE helicopters just before Trump's tour. It will be stamped during the trump journey. This tour can also be announced to increase the scope of defense deals. Further cooperation in this area is expected to increase after the historic civil nuclear agreement between the two countries in 2008. Ravish Kumar said that Westinghouse and Nuclear Power Corporation of India (NPCIL) are in talks to build six 1100 MW reactors at Kovvada in Andhra Pradesh.
Under the nuclear deal, the United States was a little concerned with the provision of the responsibility of an accident solely on the supplier. However, it also included the role of the operator. Apart from this, it was also said to provide insurance cover after which American companies have shown keenness. The two countries will also discuss space technology. Indian Space Agency ISRO has launched 209 US satellites. ISRO and the US Space Agency NASA are jointly building microwave remote sensing satellites. It will have radars of L band and S band. NASA will work on the L band and ISRO will form the S band. It is the world's first two-band satellite.
