India has also expressed hope that both will not have to fall prey to Pakistan's propaganda. It is noteworthy that Prashant Vaidham and Vari Lal, residents of Telangana and Madhya Pradesh, were arrested on 14 November in Bahwalpur. The Pakistan Police has claimed that Vaidham and Dhari Lal were arrested on November 14 by a Yazman Police patrol while they were illegally entering Pakistan from the Cholistan region in Bahawalpur district.
Back without harm, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement on Thursday, saying, "We hope that both will not fall prey to Pakistan's propaganda." Both should be sent back to India without causing harm.
The ministry said, "India has demanded Pakistan to provide diplomatic access to both the citizens - Prashant Vaidham and Dhari Lal, who have been arrested by the Pakistan authorities." Meanwhile, Prashant's father Baburao, who hails from Hyderabad, has claimed that his son was missing for two years. He also said that he is an engineer by profession. Baburao said that he had lodged a report of the son's disappearance at Madhupur police station in April 2017. Baburao is surprised how his son reached Pakistan.
