The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has accused it of killing nationalist-minded people in West Bengal, calling it unfortunate. In response to a question on the Murshidabad triple murder scandal in West Bengal, Sanmohan Sahu's co-ordinator Manmohan Vaidya said this.
According to the Sangh, the deceased teacher Banduprakash Pal was a supporter of the Sangh but the family members of the deceased have denied any political connections. Vaidya was addressing a three-day All India Executive Board meeting here on Wednesday which was inaugurated by Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat.
For the first time, 350 union heads from across the country are participating in this meeting held in Odisha. It also includes Sarkaryavah Bhaiyaji Joshi of the Sangh.
Joshi informed that organizational activities, plans for expansion and development of the union will be discussed in the meeting. It is a review meeting of the All India House of Representatives held in March.
The murder of 35-year-old Pal of Murshidabad, his pregnant wife Beauty and 8-year-old son Aangan has created political tension in West Bengal. Police have arrested mason Utpal Behera by profession, claiming to have solved the case.
Speaking on the Ayodhya issue, Vaidya said that the Ram temple is not a political issue, but a matter of faith and trust of the entire country. On the repeal of Article 370, he said, it was a temporary provision and with national consent the central government called it Decided to finish. Vaidya said that the Sangh's branches are playing an important role in ending caste discrimination and creating harmony among the people. On the development of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vaidya said that currently 57,411 daily branches and 18,923 weekly branches are being organized. He said that between 2010 and 2014, around 6,000 new branches were formed.
This year has increased by 1,500 branches as compared to 2018.
