A Goa government school teacher was arrested for molesting five girl students. Superintendent of Police (SP) Arvind Gawas said that five students of the school located in Ponda town of South Goa district complained against the teacher to the authorities, after which he was arrested.
SP Gawas said, "All the minor girls in the fifth and seventh grade told the school's Internal Complaints Committee that the teacher molested them. The girls alleged that the teacher touched them in a wrong way. '
The school's internal committee then investigated and found the allegations against them to be true. "An FIR was lodged against the accused following a police complaint lodged by the School's Internal Complaints Committee and he was arrested on Thursday morning," he said.
