Five people, including two Bangladeshis, have been arrested for alleged links with the smuggling gang from Beniapukur town in West Bengal. police gave this information.
A senior officer of the Kolkata Police's special task force said preliminary investigation revealed that two persons from Nariel and Khulna of Bangladesh "illegally" entered India via the Satkhera border with the help of three Indians.
"These five men were caught in front of Ladies Park on CIT Road in Beniapukur police station border. Two Bangladeshi failed to produce any valid documents about their identity," the official said.
