A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan has died in a shootout by the Bangladeshi Army on the India-Bangladesh border.  At the same time, a jawan seriously injured has been admitted to the hospital for treatment.  According to the information, BSF personnel were searching for the fishermen who were taken hostage by the Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB).

On Thursday, three Indian fishermen went fishing in the Padma River on the Indo-Bangladesh border.  The two fishermen later returned and reported on the BSF's Kakamichar post that BGB had caught all three of them but later released two.  According to the fishermen, the BGB asked them to call the BSF Post Commander for a flag meeting.

When BSF personnel went in search of Indian fisherman, BGB opened fire on them.  The bullet hit the head of head constable Vijay Bhan.  Apart from this, a constable was also shot in the hand.  Both were immediately taken to medical.  Vijay Bhan Singh died before reaching the hospital.
