Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, who arrived in France to attend the G-7 conference, addressed the Indian community in Paris on Friday. On the second day of his visit to France, he said in the beginning of his address that the friendship between India and France is completely unbreakable. This is not new, but is years old. There will be no such opportunity or global forum where our countries have not supported each other. Therefore, today is the name of this friendship. He also linked the India-France friendship with the FIFA World Cup. Celebrating in India as well as its winner last year.
Prime Minister Modi said, 'Good friendship means to support each other in happiness and sorrow, whatever the circumstances may be. When there is any good achievement in India or France, we are happy for each other. I think that the number of supporters of the French football team will probably be more in India than in France. When France won the Football World Cup, it was celebrated loudly in India.
It is noteworthy that France had named the title of the 21st edition of the FIFA World Cup on 15 July 2018. The French team defeated Croatia 4–2 in the final match played in Moscow. In India too, the FIFA World Cup was at its peak. Football lovers had thoroughly enjoyed France's title win. France was successful in becoming the captain of world football after 20 years.
