On Saturday, the Trinamool Congress leaders, who went to meet the victims families of Sonbhadra have been stopped by the police at Varanasi Airport.
TMC chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee gave a sharp reaction on this. Mamata said that the "condition of law and order in UP is very bad."
She said, "If there is communal violence anywhere in West Bengal, then the BJP sends its delegation there. They do not even listen to us and go to forced violence areas. But the TMC delegation was stopped in Uttar Pradesh."
Banerjee added , ''I think the rules should be followed. Whatever Priyanka Gandhi did, she is not wrong at all. ''
A delegation of 4 members led by TMC MP Derek O'Brien was going to Sonbhadra, where 10 people were killed in the ground dispute last day. The Varanasi police had stopped the TMC leaders at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Babatpur.
