Pakistan's experienced batsman Shoaib Malik will return home for 10 days from England's current tour for personal reasons. The Pakistan Cricket Board gave this information on Monday.
"The Pakistan Cricket Team management has given Shoaib Malik a leave so that he can return home and deal with domestic issues," the PCB said in the statement. There is a possibility of joining the team in 10 days. '
The Board, however, did not clear the reason for giving such leave to the experienced cricketer. According to the statement, "PCB will not comment any further and expect Shoaib's respect for the privacy of all concerned."
Malik is part of the Pakistan team, which has gone on to play the five-match ODI series before the World Cup on May 30. This announcement was made a few hours before Pakistan's second domestic match against Northamptonshire.
Due to this break, Malik will not be able to play the only T20 International against England on 5 May and England in the first one-dayer on May 8.
