Dayadra Mandal,Kolkata;

Former India batsman VVS Laxman, who was accused of conflict of interest, criticized the attitude of the administrators' committee (COA) regarding the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) that there was a lack of communication between them. Laxman said that the COA had earlier promised a comprehensive role for the CAC but he used it only to select the senior national team coach.

Laxman, who remained calm in the field, gave a strong reaction to the BCCI's co-moral officer on the 'conflict of interest' issue and said that if it comes to conflict, then I am ready to 'oppose him'.

Laxman wrote in an affidavit filed by his lawyer, "We had asked the administrators' committee to clarify the scope of their role and responsibilities on December 7, 2018, but we have not received any reply till date. We received a letter related to it in 2015, but it does not mention the timing of the term, it is reasonable to expect that the COA should get an answer whether the CAC is in existence or not. Unfortunately, this is not happening. '

Apart from Laxman in this matter, Sachin Tendulkar also sent his reply to BCCI's Lokpal. The notice was sent to Tendulkar and Laxman on the complaint filed by Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) member Sanjeev Gupta. According to the complaint, Laxman and Tendulkar played a dual role as IPL member of the franchise teams respectively as "auxiliary member" of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians and a member of the Cricket Advisory Committee of the BCCI (CAC), which was said to be a case of conflicts of alleged interests. Laxman wrote in his reply, "We got such information that we will contribute to the continuous development of Indian cricket, "He said in his affidavit," It was so special for me to get an opportunity to contribute to making Indian cricket super power after the retirement that I could have refused to take the job for it. " . '

Laxman claimed that the COA gave enough time to select the three-member CAC (whose third member is Sourav Ganguly) to be the chief coach of the women's team. He said, "In December 2018, we were given less than 24 hours to tell us the availability of women coach. Due to previous commitments and short time all of us have refused to join. '

After this, the ad-hoc committee of Kapil Dev, Shantha Rangaswamy and Anshuman Gaekwad had selected WV Raman as the Chief Coach of the Indian women's team.
