Moitrish Majumdar, Kolkata:
Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has come to support former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi, who was surprised by his autobiography. Afridi has written in his autobiography 'Game changer' that many senior players of the team did not treat them well. Giving an example of his point, Afridi said that former Pakistan coach Javed Miandad had not allowed him to participate in the practice session before the match played against India in Chennai in 1999.
In this disclosure of Afridi, Akhtar has supported him and said that he also got bad behavior from senior players in his time. Express Tribune quoted Akhtar as saying, "I think Afridi wrote less about bad behavior in his book. I have seen such acts from my eyes and I fully agree with them.

Afridi has also written that Miandad had asked to compliment him for the award ceremony after the match, after which the respect for Miandad was over in Afridi's heart. Akhtar said that later the 10 players had apologized to both of them.
According to Akhtar, "After a few years later, before going to Umrah, those 10 players have apologized to both of us." Talking about his past experience, Akhtar said that four players had come to kill him once. He said, "Once upon a tour of Australia, four players tried to hit me with the bat." Earlier, Imran Farhat had expressed his anger over Afridi, saying that he was a mean player.
