Moitrish Majumdar, Kolkata:
BCCI Lokpal Justice (Retd) DK Jain has asked the former captain and the three complainants to give written arguments in the case of conflict of interest against Sourav Ganguly.
The three cricket fans of Bengal, Bhaskati Shantuya, Abhijit Mukherjee and Ranjit Seal had alleged that the role of Ganguly's Bengal Cricket Association (CAB) and the IPL franchisee Delhi Capitals consultant is a matter of direct confrontation of interests.
For the nearly three-and-a-half hours, senior advocate Biswanath Chatterjee of the Supreme Court and complainant Ranjit Seal also listened to Ganguly's arguments.
Justice Jain said after the meeting, "I heard the arguments of both parties and the BCCI and will pass my order soon. Although the hearing has ended in accordance with the principles of natural justice, both sides can now make a written plea before the final verdict is announced. "After meeting Ganguly from the campus, he said that the meeting was good.
