Bashirhat Police Officer-in-Charge, filed a Suomoto case against Bashirhat Lok Sabha BJP candidate Sayantan Basu. the police alleged that he make enraging remarks in mass gathering. He allegedly advised it to the election security forces CRPF jawans from the party's election rally.
Later, Bashirhat Police Station filed a case against Sayantan Basu for violating election rules. Police on Wednesday filed seven cases against him. There is a storm of severe condemnation across the state about the public gathering in Basirhat of North 24 Parganas on Tuesday afternoon. The BJP has already filed a lawsuit against the ruling Trinamool. The BJP has already filed such case under following sections -
188 provocative remarks, 115 conferences, 189 shining government officials, 171C , 120B conspiracy, 506 preventing the IPC election process, and direct access to the process of preventing the 125 elections.
The BJP candidate himself said that a case has been filed in 15 districts in the state earlier this year. The police can file a case. , maybe I said something out of rage. while is no action taken against the TMC candidates who did not allow our party workers to write on walls." following the incident TMC BAshirhat candidate Nusrat JAhan took twitter to comment. she wrote,"we are peace lovers, we would want a peaceful message and not provocative comments from leaders."
