Prior to the Lok Sabha elections, a weapon factory was discovered in the Kotali police station area of Basanti in South 24 Parganas district. After that incident, Baruipur district police arms recovered from different areas almost every day. Police personnel of the Special Operation Group of the Baruipur Police Station received a letter from the arms factory about Wednesday morning.
Under special operation group OC Laxmikant Biswas and Basanti police station, the police searched Basanti and recovered 6 weapons, 16 rounds of bullets , 6 mobile phones, 3 kilos of explosive powder, and equipment for making firearms. Police arrested five people in this incident. Baruipur police district's SP Rasid Munir Khan on Wednesday held a press conference regarding the recovery of equipment and firearms factory.
