Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Prayagraj on Sunday and joined the Kumbh Mela held here and plunge his faith into Triveni Sangam. After the Ganga bath, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered prayers. After this, the PM took the blessings of five cleaners (three men, two women), and took their blessings.
The prime minister  washed and wiped the  feet of the workers and presented them with  shawls.
PM Modi said, "Sanctity of the Kumbh includes those who have made cleanliness in the vast field of the water body with a view to making them the subject of discussion in the world." Narendra Modi said, "There are many such moments in every person's life, which are unforgettable."
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is busy campaigning for the continuation of cleanliness mission in the country. He started Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on October 2, 2014, on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday. The mission was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi's samadhi from Rajghat. This campaign is divided into two parts, the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Rural) is the responsibility of the Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation and the responsibility of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (Urban) is with the Ministry of Urban and Development.
