On the basis of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Committee report, the Delhi government has finalized an arrangement to increase the minimum support price (MSP) for wheat and paddy crops (MSP). Officials gave this information on Sunday. He said that in order to implement the scheme under the 'Chief Minister Kisan Mitra Yojana' launched by the Government for the welfare of the farmers of Delhi, Development Minister Gopal Rai instructed his department to prepare a cabinet note.
He said that after considering the high production cost in the national capital compared to other states on the basis of all related facts, decision on MSP of wheat and paddy crops has been decided in Delhi. An official told that an agricultural conference was organized in Delhi secretariat on January 29 under the chairmanship of Rai to discuss the recommendations of the Swaminathan report.
