Security forces have got great success against the Maoists in Gumala district in Jharkhand. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police killed three hardcore Maoists of the People's Liberation Front of India in a joint action on Sunday. Two AK-47 rifles and heavy ammunition were found from the spot.
Jharkhand Police spokesman and Additional Director General of Police ML Meena said that on the basis of an information, the security forces surrounded the Maoists in Kamdara of Gumla and asked them to surrender. After this the Maoists started firing, after which the security forces responded. Three Maoists were killed in this firing.
The dead Maoists belong to the PLFI group and two AK-47 rifles, one 315 bore rifle, Naxalite literature and ammunition in large quantities have been recovered from them. The police are investigating the encounter site and the identities of the killed Maoists are being identified. Police officers say it is clear from getting AK 47 rifles from them that it will be the most dangerous Maoist.
