During the lockdown, there was a flood of old shows like on TV. This experiment started with Ramanand Sagar's Ramayana was such a hit that all the channels started telecasting the old shows again. This series is still going on. While Ramayana-Mahabharata-Srikrishna got bumper TRPs, Nitish Bhardwaj's show Vishnu Purana is not being successful as expected among the audience.
Vishnu Purana is airing on DD Bharati from 14 May. But so far this show has not made it to the top-5 shows in the Hindi GEC category of BARC ratings. At the same time, Ramayana, Mahabharata and Shri Krishna are such serials, which were included in the top list of TRPs as soon as they were telecast. Vishnu Purana is also counted in successful shows of that period. But seeing the TRP, it seems that this show has failed to entertain the audience during lockdown.
