The next phase of lockdown will start in the country from today, which will run till June 30. The government has called it Unlock 1 instead of Lockdown. In this phase, the government has given permission to open malls and restaurants in other places except the containment zone. Now on June 8, malls and restaurants will be opened.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has issued new guidelines to reopen areas outside the Containment Zone. These guidelines will be applicable from today and will be effective till June 30. In this phase, the Ministry has decided to open almost all the banned activities outside the Containment Zone in a phased manner. At the same time, the state governments have issued different guidelines of 'Unlock1' including allowing inter-state travel. Apart from this, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana have extended the lockdown till June 30 with several discounts.
Rail service will start in Uttar Pradesh from today. The Yogi government while making the guidelines applicable in the state from today in connection with giving concessions from the lockdown, told that religious places will be opened from June 8 under the guidelines of the Center and Uttar Pradesh. Hotels, restaurants and shopping malls will also open from June 8. All schools, colleges and educational institutions will also open as per the guidelines of the Center.
In view of the fifth phase of the nationwide lockdown starting from today, the Chhattisgarh government said that the ban on interstate movement will continue without the permission of the authorities. Officials said that the Transport Department will issue a separate order regarding the introduction of inter-state bus service within the state.
The Haryana government has decided to open the interstate boundaries from June today, including its border with Delhi. Along with this, religious places, hotels and malls will also open in the state from June 8.
More number of trains and aircraft are expected to arrive in Goa from today as many restrictions have been lifted in the fifth phase of the lockdown due to Corona virus. Konkan Railway Public Relations Officer Baban Ghatge said that three trains coming from Delhi and Mumbai will stop at Madgaon station in South Goa from June 1 and Mangala Express (New Delhi to Ernakulam), Netravati Express (LTT-Mumbai to Thiruvananthapuram) and Duronto Express. (Nizamuddin to Ernakulam) will also stop here.
Schools in remote areas of Maharashtra can be opened following social distance rules where there is no internet connectivity and which are unaffected by the corona virus epidemic. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said this. The Chief Minister said that the new academic year should start in June as it happens in normal time. According to the Union Ministry, Unlock1 will come into effect from June 8, under which wide relaxation will be given in the rules of lockdown. Shopping malls, restaurants, religious places will be allowed to open, while strict restrictions will continue in the most affected areas of the country.
