 Health benefits of cloves-

 Cloves contain fiber, vitamins and minerals.  It is rich in manganese, beneficial for brain function and strong bones, and vitamin K.

 Antioxidant, Antimicrobial Properties: According to a Healthline article, cloves contain a compound called eugenol, which also acts as an antioxidant, which keeps chronic diseases away.  Research shows eugenol, along with oleic acid and lipids also combine the antimicrobial ability of the spice found in its essential oils.

 Improves oral health: Clove's antibacterial properties can help promote better health.  An earlier study published in the Journal of Natural Products found that compounds extracted from cloves can inhibit the growth of bacteria that commonly cause gum disease.

 Improves liver health: Eugenol in cloves can be beneficial for the liver, researchers have shown.  Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds can protect the liver from injury, preventing cirrhosis or chronic liver damage.

 Helps with blood sugar: According to a 2012 study in the Journal of Natural Medicines, cloves can suppress increased blood sugar levels in type 2 diabetes.

 Treats stomach ulcers: Research has also shown that essential oils extracted from cloves can help to heal stomach ulcers as eugenol is an important gastroprotective factor capable of increasing mucus production.
