Coronavirus cases are increasing rapidly in the country amid the lockdown relaxation.  Today the total number of Covid-19 infected has crossed 2 lakh.  According to data released by the Ministry of Health, the total number of coronavirus patients in India has reached 2,07,615 and while the virus has so far killed 5815 people.  At the same time, 8,909 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours and 217 people have died.  The highest number of cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.  However, it is a matter of relief that 1,00,303 patients have been able to beat Corona.  The recovery rate has reached 48.31 percent.

Amidst the rise in corona virus cases, the central government said on Tuesday that India is far from the peak of the disease and its measures for prevention have been "very effective".  At the same time, the government said that it is in a much better position than other countries.  Addressing reporters on the Covid-19 situation, Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Health, Luv Agarwal said that it is wrong to focus only on the total number of cases and India is ranked seventh.  He said that attention should also be paid to the population of countries.

 He said that there are 55.2 times more deaths due to corona virus in 14 countries with total population equal to India.  Aggarwal said, "In case of Kovid-19, our death rate is 2.82 percent and it is the lowest in the world while the global death rate is 6.13 percent.  We have been able to achieve this due to timely identification of cases and proper clinical management. ''
Delhi has reached the third position in the category of states most affected by Corona.  The highest number of corona cases were reported in Delhi on Tuesday.  There have been 1298 new cases here yesterday.  With this, a total of 22132 cases have been reported here.  At the same time, 497 patients were cured in the last 24 hours, with which a total of 9243 people have been cured so far.  In the last 24 hours, 11 patients died in Delhi, but 22 deaths occurred between April 19 to May 30, whose reporting was late.  Due to which the number of deaths from Corona in Delhi has increased from 523 to 556.
