Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said on Saturday that pilgrims of the state can visit Kedarnath and other Himalayan temples located in the state from May 4. Rawat said that since May 4, people are being allowed inter-district movement with certain restrictions, especially in those districts which fall in the green zone. The pilgrims of the state can visit Kedarnath. However, the Chief Minister asked the people to follow the rule of keeping distance from each other during the puja in the temple as their safety is most important.
All the three districts of Garhwal region where four Himalayan temples are located, also known as Chardham, are in the Green Zone due to not a single case of Covid-19. Gangotri and Yamunotri temples are located in Uttarkashi district, Kedarnath in Rudraprayag district and Badrinath in Chamoli district. Barring Badrinath, the doors of other temples have opened.
