The Jammu and Kashmir administration has extended the detention of former CM and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti under the PSA (Public Safety Act) by three months. Sources in the Jammu and Kashmir administration said that under the PSA, the detention has been extended for three months on Tuesday.
According to a Times of India report, PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti was under house arrest on Tuesday, hours before Srinagar district magistrate handed him an order for extension of detention under the PSA. Explain that former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti was detained on August 5 last year, when the Center revoked the special status of the then state and divided it into two Union Territories - Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
