Pakistan's head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has said that it will be extremely difficult for bowlers to adopt the new guidelines of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The ICC has said that saliva should not be used to shine the ball. Misbah proposed a mask for the bowlers to ensure that they do not try to apply saliva to the ball naturally.
The ICC has recommended that 14 days of pre-match isolation should be done to host cricket, to ensure that all the players in the team are protected from Kovid-19. The ICC Cricket Committee, led by Anil Kumble, also recommended a ban on the use of saliva on the ball as an interim measure to deal with the threat of Kovid-19.
