Hunger compels a person to eat anything. A mentally deranged woman was seen eating a dove in the RIMS campus of Ranchi, Jharkhand .
In the orthopedic department corridor here, when the starving woman did not get anything to eat, she started eating dove alive ( Pigeon) . Sources said that she kept demanding food from the people passing in the corridor, but no one paid attention to it.
A hospital staff revealed that the abandoned woman had been brought here for treatment.
Director of RIMS, Dr. DK Singh said that social institutions bring abandoned people here. The hospital cannot do much for such patients even out of human sympathy.
He also said that her illness was undiagnosed and she refused to get admitted.
"There is not much we can do for patients here unless they are willing to accept us," concluded the Director .
