In the case of coronavirus and migrant laborers, there is an ongoing conflict between the West Bengal government and the central government. State Chief Minister Mamata Banarjee also targeted Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on the running of trains. During the media briefing on Wednesday, CM Mamta Banerjee said, 'I told Amit Shah that you are constantly sending Central teams to Bengal, you send them but if you feel that the West Bengal government cannot work, then you will get corona crisis. Why not handle it yourself? I have no problem.' She adds, 'I am thankful to him for what he said in response."
Chief Minister Banerjee further said, 'I want to tell the Prime Minister and the Home Minister that please see that the corona is not spread. Already the number of corona infects in India has crossed one lakh. Some people want to spread it for politics. Bihar is affected. Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh is spreading all over these places. What can i do During this crisis, I want the Prime Minister to intervene.
Earlier, on sending migrant laborers by train to West Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee said, 'I don't know why the Ministry of Railways is doing this. How will we investigate two lakh migrant laborers, will the center help. Why social distancing is not being followed in railways. We are paying for the tickets but there are a large number of passengers in coaches.
He further said, 'You are evacuating Maharashtra and spreading corona in Bengal. If you do not understand this, is this my failure? Containment zone should be retained. I do not want a large area of India to be transformed into a Red Zone. You have decided the red, orange and green zones, but now the red zone is increasing.
