Old shows have won the lockdown. After the immense success of Ramayana and Mahabharata on Doordarshan, both these historical shows will be re-telecasted on private channels.
The Ramayana and the Mahabharata will be re-telecast on May 4 from Doordarshan on Star Plus and Colors. Let us know when and on which day you will be able to see these two shows. Let us first talk about BR Chopra's Mahabharata. Mahabharata will be telecast every day on Colors. This saga of Mahabharata will be shown every day at 7-9 pm. The audience will be able to watch the Mahabharata for 2 consecutive hours and seven days.
On the StarPlus, the unique story of Maryada Purushottam Ram will be telecast from May 4 to 7.30 pm Monday to Sunday. It stars Arun Govil, Deepik Chikhaliya, Arvind Trivedi and Sunil Lahiri. This Ramayana was well liked on Doordarshan. It created history when Ramanand's Ramayana was telecast after 33 years. It will be fun to see if people like watching Ramayan again on Star Plus after watching it on Doordarshan.
