All people are coming to Hastinapur because the education closing ceremony of Kauravas and Pandavas is going to be held there. Dhritarashtra, Bhishma, Vidur, Gandhari, Kunti, Vice-Chancellor Kripacharya and Dronacharya came with their sons Ashwatthama and sat in their respective places.
The Monday episode of Mahabharata showed that the time for scripture worship of Kauravas and Pandavas in Gurukul has also come. Along with Dronacharya, the Kauravas and the Pandavas all join hands and worship the scriptures and take the blessings of Guru Dronacharya. Bhishma also comes there. On the other hand, Shakuni in the palace fills Dhritarashtra's ears against Dronacharya and now Dhritarashtra has made Shakuni as his advisor as well. Taking advantage of this, Shakuni told Dhritarashtra- "I am afraid that Arjuna's innocence will surely fascinate him, the only way to avoid Arjuna is that Ashwatthama should come now." Ashwatthama is the son of Guru Dronacharya, who, like his father, is expert in scripture and armaments. Ashwatthama comes to his father Dronacharya where Guru Dronacharya examines the scriptures of all the disciples.
Dhritarashtra's first charioteer, Adhirath, arrives in Gurukul with his son Radheya, near Dronacharya to study Radheya's weapons. Where Dronacharya sees him and names him Karna and due to not being a Rajputra and Kshatriya, he refuses to give weapons to Karna. Hearing this, Adhirath and Karna leave from there.
