A female employee went to Ghatshila Government Hospital in Ranchi's West Singhbhum district for treatment of abdominal pain.
It is alleged that Ashraf, who works as a contractor for the hospital, prescribed the woman a condom.
The woman went to a medical shop with the prescription, where she learned from the shopkeeper that the prescribed drug was a condom!
Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MLA Kunal Sarangi raised the issue after the woman complained to senior doctors about the matter. Based on the allegations, a medical team was formed with a psychiatrist to investigate the whole case, which started the investigation.
Shankar Tudu, in-charge of Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital, told reporters, “A medical team has been formed on the basis of the woman's complaint and has started an investigation.
The trial doctor denied the allegations.
