Sahar was in jail before being hospitalized. She was in jail due to her online activities and she got infected with Corona virus. At first they were not getting bail from jail. Jail management was not ready to leave Sahar on bail even after a lot of pleas by the lawyer. But when Sahar's condition deteriorated, he was admitted to the hospital.
According to the report of Iran's Local News Agency, Sahar was arrested in October 2019. He was accused of inciting violence, earning money through improper means and encouraging the youth to corruption. Later, the Guidance Court of Tehran ruled to arrest Sahar.
