Indian batsman Kedar Jadhav has said that he is indebted to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, because of his support, he could play many ODIs. Jadhav, 35, has played 73 ODIs for the Indian team. Jadhav was not selected for the three-match ODI series against South Africa, which was postponed due to Corona virus.
In an Instagram live chat with Chennai Super Kings, Jadhav said, 'Sachin used to be my idol when I was growing up. I regret that I could not play with him, but when it comes to the favorite cricketer, it is obviously Dhoni.
Jadhav said, 'When I met Mahi Bhai. Then I thought if he is the captain of India, then it will be very strict. But after meeting him, no other picture of favorite cricketer was seen.
Jadhav, who played for Chennai under Dhoni's captaincy in the IPL, said, 'I would have played only eight-ten ODIs, but Mahi Bhai supported me and his calm nature has affected me. When I see him, I get confidence and if you get such support from the captain, it helps a lot.
