Caribbean Premier League (CPL) CEO Pete Russell hopes that this T20 league will take place as per its schedule in September and the Indian Cricket Board will explore its own window for the IPL. There is a possibility that BCCI will organize IPL in September or October, due to which the schedule of Asia Cup and T20 World Cup may have to be re-scheduled.
The CPL is to be held from August 19 to September 26. Russell told ESPN Cricinfo, "We don't want a confrontation with him." I know the BCCI is powerful, but will also look at other leagues and players. '
He said, 'I think the IPL would like to see all the Caribbean players playing in their tournaments. In such a situation, there is no justification for clash with CPL, as most of their stars will play with us. I don't think they would like to do that. They can find their windows. '
