Brazilian great footballer Ronaldinho and his brother have been ordered to be under house arrest. Paraguay judge Gustavo Amarilla told reporters that Ronaldinho and his brother would be placed under house arrest in a hotel in Asuncion.
On March 6, the Paraguay police arrested Ronaldinho and his 49-year-old Roberto Essis in a fake passport case. The police had prohibited the appointment of any person other than a lawyer.
Paraguay's appeals court last month rejected a request to release the pair. Because of this, he had to spend his 40th birthday (March 21) behind bars.
The capitain of Paraguay is in lockdown due to the corono virus epidemic. The judge gave his decision through a cellphone call. Ronaldinho smiled in a black T-shirt and matching headband. Which shows that he has understood the terms of his release.
