Indian tennis stalwart Sania Mirza said she was fully prepared for the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 after returning from two years of maternity leave. The former World Number-1 doubles star said that the delay in the games is a bit of a shock for him. The Tokyo Olympics has been postponed until 2021 by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) due to the Kovid-19 epidemic. The global sports calendar has been badly affected by Corona.
Sania Mirza said during the India Today e-conclave's Corona series season that the process would have to be resumed, which helped her make a successful comeback to the court after a two-year break. She hopes to be in Tokyo for the Olympics, which is scheduled to begin on July 23, 2021.
Sania Mirza, 33, returned to the court earlier this year. She won the women's doubles title at Hobart International along with Ukrainian partner Nadia Kithenok.
Sania started from the bottom after a break of two years, but came into the top 250 after a successful comeback. However, she was not able to pursue her Australian Open campaign due to injury.
