Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has decided not to celebrate his birthday this year in honor of those who played a leading role in India's fight against the Kovid-19 epidemic. He will turn 47 on Friday. A source close to the veteran told PTI on Wednesday, "Sachin has decided that this is not the time to celebrate.
He believes that this can be the best way to express our gratitude to the doctors, nurses, medical assistants, policemen, soldiers who are taking the lead in fighting this epidemic.
Tendulkar has already contributed Rs 50 lakh to fight this epidemic. He is also associated with many other relief operations. Sources said, "He always gets uncomfortable talking about it."
Earlier Sachin Tendulkar did not celebrate his birthday on 24 April in 2011 due to the death of Sathya Sai Baba. Sachin was a devotee of spiritual guru Satya Sai Baba.
