Former Indian great batsman master blaster Sachin Tendulkar's 241-run knock against Australia in Sydney in 2004, Brian Lara has advised to learn from it in life, calling it one of the disciplined innings. In this innings, Tendulkar had decided not to take a shot out of the off stump and scored 188 of his 241 in the leg side only.
Lara wrote in her post on Instagram, 'He is one of the greatest players of our illustrious sport. We can learn the discipline required to do anything in life from his 241-run innings against Australia. ”Tendulkar played this innings while his bat was lying dull. It was a 2003–04 tour of Australia.
Tendulkar was able to score 82 runs in five innings of the first three Tests of this series at an average of 16.40. Australia's strategy was to field an army of fielders in the off side and bowl continuously out of the off stump and Tendulkar got caught in their net.
So when Tendulkar arrived in Sydney to play the last Test match, his strategy was clear, the balls going out of the off side will not play. Will not cover the drive. Tendulkar kept his strategy for ten hours 13 minutes and a total of 436 balls.
