Former Indian boxer Dinkko Singh will be flown from Manipur to Delhi for treatment of cancer on April 25, Boxing Federation of India (BFI) executive director RK Sacheti has informed on Tuesday. Sacheti told ANI, "BFI President Ajay Singh spoke to Dinko Singh today and assured him of the necessary help. He also said that SpiceJet's air ambulance will airlift Dinko Singh to Delhi on 25 April. Let me tell you that boxers Vijender Singh and Manoj Kumar are going to raise money to help Dink Singh, who is battling cancer.
Apart from these two, some other boxers and coaches have formed a WhatsApp group and all together will collect a lakh rupees and send it directly to Dinko's account as help. It is worth noting that Dinko was successful in winning the gold medal in the 1998 Asian Games held in Bangkok. He has also been honored with the Arjuna Award and the Padma Award. Vijender said about this that, together we have raised more than 1 lakh. Everyone has helped on their behalf with open heart. I have given 25000 rupees, then someone has given 11000 rupees. He said that Dinko is our diamond. We grew up seeing them. It is the duty of every boxer to come forward to help in this hour of crisis.
