To prevent the spread of corona virus infection, the Indian government had banned the movement of all international flights. Meanwhile, on 18 March, Sonam Kapoor reached India from the UK with her husband Anand Ahuja. Sonam was also surprised that no screening was being done at the London airport. He, however, praised the efforts of the Indian government regarding the corona virus screening at Delhi Airport.
Sonam spoke on Instagram about her journey from London to New Delhi. He also highlighted in a recent video call with Anupama Chopra why he had decided to return to India from London amidst all the risk.
Sonam said, just before the travel ban, we decided to come to India. We did this because my father is 63 years old. They may hate that they have entered the sixth decade of their age, but this is true. My mother is also 63 years old and we have to take care of them, so we returned. Explain that due to the threat of Corona, Sonam and Anand also kept themselves in self-isolation after returning to India.
