Taapsee Pannu is in the discussion about her film Thappad. Co-star was nervous about slapping Taapsee
Talking about this matter, Taapsee said that my co-star Powell was nervous that he had to slap me hard. He was so scared and restless that it took him two days to mentally prepare for this shot. Taapsee said that it took a lot of retake to perfect this shot. Only one slap will be shown in the film but it took me 7 slaps i.e. 7 retakes to complete this shot. I feel that I have not given so many retakes in the entire film.
He further said that this was also a very important shot and we could not take it lightly. Anubhav had said that this shot should be absolutely perfect because when the audience sees it on the screen of 60 mm it will look very impressive. Frankly, Pavel was also telling me that I should slap him so that he does not feel embarrassed while doing so. Sometimes he used to slap my throat and sometimes he was beating on the ear. I told him not to think anything, slap a tightrope and end this issue.
